At the age of 17, Eli moved from Macedonia, Yugoslavia to the United States through Ellis Island working hard to become a citizen. He received his GED, worked in inventory, married, and began a family with his American Dream. After working hard for thirty-six years in the same company, he moved from New York to Arizona in 1999 enjoying his years of retirement.
He loved his family and friends, dancing, and our family food stand; “Eli’s Texas Hots” at the Erie County Fair held yearly in Hamburg, New York.
Eli was a great man that always went out of his way to put a smile on other people’s faces and make everyone happy. He was always kind and thoughtful, and positive with everyone. Plus, he knew how to drink a bottle of wine. He will be sadly missed by all and remember lovingly, forever in our hearts.
Eli is survived by his wife Kathleen Gianefsky, his daughter Christine Cianciosi, his nephew Mitko Janevski, and many other family members in Europe, Canada, and the USA.
Proceeded in death by his father Kirste Janevski, his mother Mila Janevska, his brother Slavko Janevski, his sisters Edna Fotevka, Rodna Janevska, and his niece Jagoda Gavatska.
